There’s a collection of HR documents around the requirements of this process, but for a Technology focused view, you’ll find some guidance on what the important pieces are for us in this section.

Joining covers three areas:

  • Recruitment: concerned with the process of creating a vacancy, sifting CVs, running interviews and making an offer.
  • Hiring: the backoffice work necessary to make sure that everything is ready for the new employee’s first day.
  • Onboarding: the process of shepherding an employee from that first day into a comfortable and productive place, which includes the probation process.
